Taous? What kinda name is that? 

• Why Taous?
  My Dad immigrated to the United States from Algeria. He is of Berber or Amazir origin--the first peoples of North Africa. Taous is Berber first name. Although once someone said to me "that's an old fashioned name." So, it's akin to being called Matilda I suppose. 
• How do you pronounce that?
  When I am speaking in English I like to say that it's like House with a "T." Or if you're a fan of New Mexico it's the same pronunciation as the town Taos. When speaking in French the OU gets a little more attention so I say "Ta-oos." When speaking in Berber or Arabic the thing gets broken into 2 syllables: "Ta-wes."
• What does it mean? 
  Taous means peacock!
